FAQs

1) What does it take to become a Christian?

We must repent of our sins.
Acts 3:19 NKJV "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."

We must surrender to Jesus as LORD.

Romans 10:9-10 NKJV "That if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that GOD has raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

You can take these steps by praying a simple prayer of commitment to GOD:
"Dear GOD, I know that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgiveness.  I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and LORD. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

2) Why should I be baptized?

1.To follow the example set by Christ.
Mark 1:9 NKJV "It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan."

2. Because Christ commands it.
Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV " Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen

3. It shows that I really am a believer.
Acts 18:8 NKJV "And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized."

Scripture

"The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles . . . The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time." Psalm 34:17-19
